Capri By Fraser

Capri By Fraser Brisbane is a newly designed and renovated hotel located in the centre of Brisbane’s CBD. The stylish and vibrant hotel features an on-site restaurant, indoor heated pool, and gym.

Capri By Fraser Brisbane have cleverly converted this ex-government building into a sophisticated hotel, equipped with 10 accessible rooms (9 rooms in the Studio Delux configuration and 1 accessible 1 Bedroom Executive Suite). The hotel is frequented by both long-term and short-stay visitors, including those with disability.

The accessible Studio Delux rooms are approximately 28sq.m (which provides ample circulation space and clear accessible paths of travel throughout the room) and feature a king size bed and accessible bathroom. Despite a small upward slant into the accessible bathroom, the bedside touch-lamps, automatic (sensor) taps in the basin, raised power points, and desk with under-bench clearance shows that the hotel has gone to significant effort to make travelling with disability as stress-free as possible.

While none of the rooms have the option of having an adjoining room, the accessible rooms can be configured to have the bed split into two king-single beds, for those travelling with a friend or carer. For people requiring the use of a hoist, Hotel Management are happy to accommodate any requests (made in advance) to raise the bedframe onto bed raisers.

Beyond the accessible room, the hotel’s indoor pool is heated however it doesn’t have a pool lift or ramp to enable access to the water for those with mobility issues. The pool and gym do however feature an adjacent accessible bathroom.

In the lobby, the on-site Black Fire Restaurant offers an all-day Spanish/Mediterranean dining experience, including 24/7 room service for those not wishing to leave the hotel.
